Hitachi accompanies John Deere in offering their connectivity service ZXLink at no cost

Following John Deere’s announcement offering their connectivity service, JDLink, at no additional cost, their partner company, Hitachi, does the same with their service, ZXLink.

Hitachi Construction & Mining Division announce that customers will be able to implement ZXLink on any compatible machines at no extra cost.

Also, customers can select to automatically activate the connectivity service on future models compatible with ZXLink.

“Hitachi focuses on providing solutions that further deliver efficiency, reliability and durability for its customers,” said James Leibold, product marketing manager, connected solutions, Hitachi Construction & Mining Division.

Like JDLink from John Deere, ZXLink provides insights into the statuses of machines in a customer’s fleet.

For example, information about machine location, time in idle, fuel level and upcoming maintenance can all be accessed through the ZXLink system.

Further, analytics from Hitachi’s 2D and 3D grade control system, Hitachi Solution Linkage Control, are also available the ZXLink system.

Also, ZXLink can work in tandem with Hitachi’s ZX Secure to ensure that dealers can monitor machine status. This makes it easy for customers to schedule maintenance.

“The ZXLink™ telematics system is a key technology solution that helps deliver those benefits. Without the hassle of worrying about subscription renewals, it’s easier than ever for our customers to increase their jobsite efficiency by seamlessly monitoring their Hitachi machines’ performance, which helps boost productivity.”
