The Gatineau Police Service is appealing to the public to help recover two pieces of heavy equipment stolen in Aylmer, Quebec.
The equipment was stolen sometime between Nov. 10 and 13 in the area of 115 boulevard d’Amsterdam, in the southwest region of Gatineau.
The stolen equipment includes 15 metre-long Fraco mast climbing work platform.
As well, a Zoom Boom 2000-series telescopic material handler, model 8044, was stolen from the same location. The combined estimated value of the two machines is about $160,000.
Removal of the work platform would have required a flatbed truck and an industrial trailer for the telescopic material handler. According to police, a flatbed truck with orange revolving warning lights was seen in the area of the theft between 5 pm and 7 pm on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Police believe the heavy equipment may no longer be in the Gatineau region.
Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call the Gatineau Police Service’s info line at 819-243-INFO (4636), option 5. All information provided will be treated as confidential.
