Dan Church to retire from Bomag

A portrait of Dan Church

After nearly four decades with Bomag, Dan Church will retire from his position as Sales Manager for Canada with Bomag Americas, effective December 31.

Church began his long tenure with Bomag Canada in 1987 as the light equipment sales representative for western Canada.

Throughout his 36 years with Bomag, Church has held multiple positions at the company. After five years managing the western Canada territory, he moved to the then headquarters for Bomag Canada in Mississauga, Ontario, to manage light equipment sales for Ontario.

Drive and dedication led to another promotion, this time as a sales representative for Bomag heavy equipment in eastern Canada.

Dan was later tapped to lead the sales program throughout the country, a position he has held for more than 25 years.

“Dan has helped navigate Bomag in Canada through much growth and change over the years. Through his leadership, Bomag has modernized the distribution channel to be among the best in the country,” said Cole Renken, Vice President of sales and marketing for Bomag Americas.

“While we will miss his contributions to Bomag’s sales success and his tribal knowledge, we wish him the best as he moves forward with his life’s next chapter.”

Church is quick to recognize the support he has been given at Bomag, and said he owes much of his success to the contributions of the many Bomag team members, dealers and customers.

“Bomag is an incredible company who treats employees well. From sales to service, we have an incredible team of dedicated individuals, and they are a primary reason I stayed with the company,” Church said.

“I want to thank the many friends I have at SMS Equipment and especially the customers throughout Canada I’ve worked with over the years. I’ve built many great relationships, ones that I will miss.”
