Kärcher and Max Holder GmbH have announced the two companies will merge.
On October 10, Holder announced the company will be acquired by the Kärcher Group. The acquisition aims to strengthen the position of Holder in the global market of municipal carrier vehicles.
Likewise, the acquisition will also help to expand Kärcher’s ever growing footprint in the cleaning and sweeping equipment industry.
“As we look to the future, we will benefit from the synergy effects in research and development, purchasing, production and sales and make both brands even more successful,” said Hartmut Jenner, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of management of Kärcher.
“As the market leader for municipal carriers, the Max Holder group of companies has an extraordinary expertise in the development and production of municipal vehicles, and so ideally completes the Kärcher product portfolio.”
Prior to the acquisition, Holder was developing its planned launch and implementation of their American spare parts warehouse along with its expanding dealer network and coverage in the United States.
The Kärcher Group, founded in 1935, is headquartered in Winnenden, Germany and remains a family-owned company to this day.
