Construction is now well underway for Strongco Corporation’s new Kitchener branch.
The new build, schedule for completion this summer, will feature a state-of-the-art design with environmental sensitivitiy in mind, as the property is located next to a Provincially Significant Wetland. The design will include considerations to protect nesting turtles and other animal habitats as well.
The new facility located at 5179 Fountain St N in Breslau, Ontario is purpose-built to support the sale, rental and parts and service needs of their many customers in the Kitchener Waterloo area.
The facility will have modern service bays along with a large parts warehouse in support of Volvo Construction Equipment, Sennebogen and Eco Log Forestry products.
Strongco’s current Kitchener branch has operated as a shared facility for both their Case and Volvo Construction Equipment divisions, where they have been selling, renting and servicing machines and warehousing OEM parts together successfully.
However, they have now outgrown the building and each need to expand into their own facilities. The decision to relocate these business divisions into their own dedicated facilities is significant and the locations chosen are ideal to service their customers in the Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo and surrounding area.
“This area within Ontario continues to grow as many national accounts, large independent equipment rental houses, and heavy construction operations move into the area and the upgrade will reduce service times by having improved parts and service amenities and spacious drive through bays,” said Paul George, Strongco’s regional vice president for construction equipment in Ontario.
Since Feb.22, the Case Division has been up and running in their dedicated facility located at 589 Colby Drive in Waterloo. The facility is larger and has undergone extensive renovations, providing the opportunity to deliver a full range of Case equipment, parts and services their customers need, when they need them.
“This sends a strong message to our customers and the competition. It shows that Strongco is committed and ready to grow in the Tri City area,” said Oliver Nachevski, president and chief executive officer for Strongco.
