The Dipperfox Stump Crusher, a new stump grinder attachment for excavators, is now available in Canada.

Dipperfox has partnered with ShearForce Equipment to represent the new attachment in Canada. With nearly 50 years of experience in hydraulic attachments, ShearForce is ready to deploy, service and maintain the Dipperfox from their branches in Langley, BC, Airdrie, Alberta, and Nisku, Alberta.

“The ShearForce team is known for their expertise in specialty attachments for excavators, and they have built up a trusted partnership with their customers over more than four decades.” said Jaana Kulm, CEO of Dipperfox. “They have a deep understanding of their clients’ needs and a wealth of specialized experience. There is a lot of passion and energy in the Dipperfox team, and the ShearForce team is excited to start working with our equipment on the ground.”

The attachment’s award-winning design makes stump removal work much more efficient and up to 10 times faster than traditional stump grinding options.

The Dipperfox Stump Crusher drills through stumps and roots to 91 cm deep into the ground. As the remaining wood material is chipped and used as fertilizer, there is no need for additional clean-up on logging and land clearing sites. Once the work is finished, the sites are fully accessible for maintenance vehicles and provide ideal conditions for newly planted trees.

Engineered, designed and manufactured in Estonia, the Dipperfox team aims to develop smart, easy to use and efficient heavy equipment tools and accessories. The Dipperfox attachment received international recognition when it was awarded the top prize in Enterprise Estonia’s Design Masterclass product development program in 2020. Since then, Dipperfox has expanded rapidly to include dealers in countries around the world.

“We have been in the specialized attachment business for a long time and we immediately saw the potential for Dipperfox to serve the needs of our customers in the Canadian market,” explained Brad Dewit, president of ShearForce Equipment. “We were attracted to the Dipperfox product because we could see the clear advantages of such a powerful yet simple attachment, and the production possibilities it gives to users compared with comparable technology and equipment. Our goal always is to meet our customers’ needs with the best equipment available for the application, so our cooperation with Dipperfox was very natural.”

This stump grinding attachment is easy on the surrounding soil. Its rotating blades crush and push all the wood residue into the ground without leaving craters or voids behind. The site needs no additional equipment for cleanup and is ready for new trees to be planted.

Using fewer moving parts increases the crusher’s durability and the adjustable transmission allows to put out maximum power at really slow rotation speeds. This creates less wear and tear to the blades, which means more uninterrupted work. Dipperfox stump crushers are able to crush a stump in 20 to 30 seconds.
