Brokk launches its Connect 2.0 platform in North America and Europe

Brokk Connect 2.0 has launched in North America and Europe

Brokk has launched Connect 2.0, the newest iteration of its online platform for connected robots. This version includes several new features, such as a geofencing function, user customization and weekly status reports. Most importantly, with the launch of the new platform, the service becomes available all over Europe and North America.

Announced in February of 2021, Brokk Connect has been available in three pilot markets. With the release of the 2.0 iteration, it is now available to customers throughout Europe and North America. Its platform includes both hardware and software that meet the specific requirements of the operation and management of demolition robots. Also, to provide the best coverage, the robots connect over a mobile network.

Brokk Connect 2.0 delivers several new features. These include an always-on, geofencing functionality, that helps Brokk owners keep control of their fleet, assisting the owner in case of theft or unauthorized use. Also, it is now possible to customize the platform based on personal preference and receive weekly status reports to make sure everything is up to date.

“As we said when we announced Brokk Connect, it is a solution that we will continue to develop and expand,” said Martin Krupicka, CEO of Brokk Group. “Brokk Connect 2.0 is now the next step, but it is definitely not the last. Connected machines and all their benefits are here to stay.”

One of the key aspects of the platform is the provision of real-time information regarding the location, status, operational data and needs of the robot.

Also, Brokk Connect lets owners leverage the data to manage fleet utilization and optimize project planning.

Finally, in combination with the Brokk Uptime service contract, the company will monitor the machines’ status, as well as remotely and proactively troubleshoting any issues. So, machine uptime is maximized and the robot is always ready for the next job.

“The feedback from our customers who have tried Brokk Connect and signed up for a Brokk Uptime service contract during the pilot period, is that they could not imagine going back to machines without the system,” Krupicka said. “Brokk Connect is available on all new Brokk robots but can also be retrofitted on older models. This way Brokk customers can get their entire Brokk fleet connected.”

In 2022, Brokk Connect 2.0 will be made available worldwide.
