Metso has signed an agreement to acquire Diamond Z and Screen Machine from the Crane Group investment company.
Screen Machine Industries broadens Metso’s portfolio in the North American mobile crushing and screening markets, while Diamond Z increases Metso’s offering in mobile equipment for the organic recycling markets.

Together, Diamond Z and Screen Machine employ about 190 people with locations in Caldwell, Idaho and Etna, Ohio. The companies will continue to operate independently in Metso’s Materials Processing Products business line.
The value of the transaction wa not disclosed, and it has no material impact on Metso’s finances.
Diamond Z has established a reputation for manufacturing durable mobile and portable grinders for the infrastructure recycling sector. Their offering consists of a broad range of high-speed grinders to suit varying needs from land clearing, construction and demolition, composting to tire disposal.
Screen Machine Industries offers a broad range of heavy-duty machines for various aggregates crushing and screening applications. Screen Machine began in 1966 in Etna, Ohio, as a structural steel company and found its niche serving crushing and screening needs for the aggregate and coal industries in the Midwest. Now its machines are in service around the world. The company acquired Diamond Z in 2019.
