The Demo International Forestry Equipment Show and Conference is returning to the Ottawa region on September 19 to 21.

Held every four years and organized by the Canadian Woodlands Forum, the event showcases the latest innovations and technologies in action amidst a woodland backdrop.

Demo International is known for its dynamic demonstrations of cutting-edge forestry equipment, providing attendees with a firsthand glimpse into the future of the industry. From state-of-the-art machinery to groundbreaking technologies, exhibitors will bring their products to life, demonstrating their capabilities live in the woods.

For 2024, the 14th edition of the liveshow takes place at SBC Cedar in Venosta, Quebec, located within a 45-minute drive north along the Gatineau River from Ottawa.

The live demonstrations will showcase more than $100 million in forestry equipment in action from worldwide manufacturers and suppliers in the forestry sector.

As well as exclusive new product introductions, Demo International 2024 will include an loader contest, where operators will be able to showcase their skills in a high-stakes competition.

On Sept. 19, the VIP Experience will offer attendees exclusive access to demonstrations, networking events and meet-and-greets with industry leaders.

Beyond the demonstrations, attendees, including high school students with the outreach program, can look forward to networking opportunities, educational sessions, career information and insights from industry experts.

As part of the festivities, the Demo International pre-conference will kick off at the Delta Ottawa City Centre on September 17 to 18, offering attendees an opportunity to delve deeper into key industry topics.

From presentations on research, automation and digitalization to discussions on logging and trucking, biodiversity and sustainability practices, the pre-conference promises to be an enriching experience for all participants.

As well, insights into international forestry outlooks from Sweden and Finland will provide valuable perspectives on global forestry trends and best practices.
