The Brandt Group of Companies has created a new division that is specifically designed to serve the needs of Canada’s roadbuilding industry.
The creation of Brandt Road Technology, the new business unit, follows the company’s recent appointment as the exclusive Canadian dealer for Wirtgen Group roadbuilding equipment.
The new division will operate Canada-wide through the company’s Brandt Tractor locations, soon to be the country’s only coast-to-coast-to-coast construction equipment network through the company’s acquisition of Nortrax.
“Brandt has delivered value for Canadian roadbuilders for many years, but the time has come to sharpen that focus,” said Brandt President and CEO, Shaun Semple. “With this announcement, we’re confident that we have assembled the finest lineup of products and services in the country and are looking forward to supporting the roadbuilding industry like never before.”
In support of the new division, Brandt also announced plans to open two Road Technology centres of excellence; one located in Milton, Ontario and the other in Calgary, Alberta.
In combination with Brandt’s line offering of John Deere construction equipment and Topcon positioning technologies, the Road Technology division will deliver a broad range of specialized Wirtgen Group road construction products including Vögele pavers, Hamm compaction equipment and Wirtgen milling and concrete paving products.
As a result of the Wirtgen addition, Brandt will be ending its long-time relationship with compaction products manufacturer Bomag. However, the company will continue to offer parts, service and warranty service support to their customers for their Bomag products while the line is being phased out.
Furthermore, to support the division’s expanding lineup of equipment, Brandt has assembled a team of experienced industry professionals; highly-specialized and focused exclusively on this business.
And, roadbuilders will soon have access to more than 100 service points across the country as a result of Brandt’s recent acquisition of Nortrax Canada in September. The acquisition is set to close on October 28.
The Brandt Group of Companies is headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan. The company has more than 50 locations in Canada and the United States, more than 3,400 employees and a growing international audience.
