Following several years of product development and manufacturing preparations at its Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin factory, Wacker Neuson is debuting two new compact tracked excavators.
The two new 3- to 4-ton class machines are designed and built in the United States specifically for the region.
Engineered on a shared platform, the new compact excavators are designed to offer consistent performance, simplified ownership and the jobsite versatility today’s contractors and dealers demand. Following significant input from customers, the EZ35 and ET40 were designed with operator comfort, productivity and serviceability in mind.
“Wacker Neuson is raising the bar for compact excavation equipment across a wide range of applications,” said Gert Reichetseder, President and CEO of Wacker Neuson Americas.
“Our focus is on delivering the benefits of being closer to our customers, which includes manufacturing in the USA and market competitive pricing, as well as reduced lead times over prior models in this class. We’ve heard our customers and our selection of packages and configurations are flexible to their needs.”
The EZ35 and ET40 include a new 18-cm touch screen display with customizable settings and keyless start. As well, intuitive controls, excellent visibility and an ergonomic cab layout help reduce fatigue and keep operators comfortable and focused throughout long workdays.
The result is a modern, user-friendly operator station that improves everyday usability and supports higher jobsite efficiency.
“The EZ35 and ET40 are built on a common 3- to 4-ton platform featuring shared components, operating systems, and operator interfaces,” said Jay Quatro, Wacker Neuson’s Commercial Product Manager.
“This platform-based design ensures consistent machine behaviour across both models, simplifies operator training and supports easier long-term ownership for fleets managing multiple machines. For dealers, the shared platform streamlines product familiarity and service support. For contractors, it means faster operator onboarding and predictable performance from job to job.”
The EZ35 and ET40 deliver strong digging performance with smooth, responsive hydraulics designed for precise control and efficient cycle times. A standard dozer blade with float function enhances grading performance and finish quality, allowing operators to work faster while maintaining accuracy across a wide range of tasks.
Powered by Yanmar engines, both compact excavators are designed with excellent service access for fast, straightforward maintenance.
Easily accessible service points and a thoughtful machine layout help minimize downtime, reduce routine maintenance time and keep machines working productively day after day.
To meet jobsite needs, the EZ35 and ET40 offer flexible configuration options, including coupler packages, auxiliary hydraulics and hydraulic thumb packages. These options allow contractors to tailor each machine for specific attachments, applications and work styles, maximizing versatility and return on investment.
