Rock Solid Attachments (RSA) is bringing to market its first wave of products geared towards prosumers, enthusiasts and DIYers.
RSA, a new value brand of Berlon Holdings, has designed attachments to fit in the middle ground between cheap and commercial grade attachments. The new line is optimized for tractors, skid steers and mini skid steers and the initial launch includes pallet forks and balespears.
“On behalf of these hardworking men and women, we pushed our team of ‘tough and durable’ engineers and fabricators to tenaciously uncover a way to uproot this either-or paradigm,” said Randy Schickert, President and CEO, Berlon Industries, LLC.
“With the same hard-working ethics of our users in mind, we orchestrated a leading ingenuity and innovation that only sacrifices absurdity. We had fun, got dirty and got it done, so these customers can also have some fun, get dirty and get more done.”
In development, RSA zeroed in on elements that bolster durability and toughness where it’s required. With an intentional focus on strategic material and component sourcing, design and a flexible modular platform, the attachment line aims to optimize machine and budget.
The attachments are manufactured using international ISO238 and ISA 2330 compliant steel. According to Rock Solid Attachments, this reduces cost and weight, and also allows RSA attachments to be more durable.
As well, Rock Solid Attachments designed the tools to minimize space required for shipping to lower cost.
“Product kits can be drop-shipped directly to a customer’s doorstep, in a parcel set you can’t miss,” Schickert said. “With minor assembly, you can get to those dirty jobs sooner.”
They also incorporated bolt-on components (brick or bale guards) to allow for lower shipping costs via modularity while using a common frame. The attachment’s design compliments a leaner assembly process, allowing for robotic welding and increased manual welding efficiency.
