Wacker Neuson is introducing its first telehandler to the North American market.
The TH522 is a unique ground-engaging telehandler that offers a versatile three machine in one concept.
The TH522 is designed to be used with ground-engaging attachments and can work like a wheel loader to dig and carry, Â a skid steer with a compact footprint capable of using a multitude of attachments and a telehandler with a lift height of 16-feet, 7-inches and operating capacity of 4,100 pounds.
The TH522 is powered by a 60-horsepower Tier 4 Final Turbo-charged Perkins engine that delivers performance and speed on the jobsite.
The machine comes standard with a top travel speed of 19 miles per hour and auxiliary hydraulic flow of 18 gallons per minute. Increased versatility is available with the standard universal attachment plate and Faster quick-connect hydraulic connection block making the TH522 compatible with most wheel loader and skid steer attachments.
Wacker Neuson’s new TH522 features a spacious cab system that maximizes operator comfort by increasing overall volume and visibility.
It includes an automotive style HVAC system for comfortable operation in all climates and seasons. An ergonomically designed joy stick allows the operator to control all boom lift/lower, boom telescope/retract, roll/tilt function, differential lock and third circuit auxiliary hydraulic controls.
Telehandler includes VLS
In addition to other class-leading features, the TH522 contains the Vertical Loading System (VLS). The VLS allows the operator to choose between two loading functions, bucket mode and fork mode.
In bucket mode, the boom automatically retracts when the operator lowers in order to keep the load as close to the front axle as possible to minimize tipping situations. In fork mode, the boom extends and retracts automatically when the operator raises the arm in order to keep the load in a vertical plane.
This is ideal for loading shelves. By operating similar to a forklift, the operator does not have to adjust the boom while loading. In addition, a digital display monitors the load of the machine and both visually and audibly alertss the operator that the machine is at risk of tipping.
Wacker Neuson’s TH522 telehandler with its ability to dig, move and lift all in one machine is capable of exceeding the performance of a lift-and-place telehandler and is ideal for a variety of applications.
