Waste and recycling expo

The 20th edition of the Waste and Recycling Expo Canada returns Oct. 25 and 26 with large exhibits, networking and several training opportunities.

Held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont., the event is also home to the third Municipal Equipment Expo.

“With more than 200 exhibiting companies filling the entire Scotiabank Convention Centre, we will have nearly every segment of the waste management industry represented under one roof,” said show manager Arnie Gess.

Produced by Messe Frankfurt, the expo is Canada’s only trade event serving the waste, recycling and public works markets. Waste and Recycling Expo and Municipal Equipment Expo represent the industry’s most important marketplace where owners, executives and managers of waste, recycling, property, trucks, fleet, software and other organizations are able to discover the next innovation to drive their business.

With nearly 3,000 professionals in attendance — from government officials, environmental managers and fleet owners to property managers — the event draws from every province of Canada and more than 15 countries worldwide.

Waste to Resource Conference

Throughout the show floor, more than 30 educational sessions will be found at the Canadian Waste to Resource Conference, produced by the Ontario Waste Management Association.

Delivered by experts in various waste and recycling fields, the program offers access to case studies and solutions to several of today’s challenges. For more details on the presentations, visit www.cw2rc.ca.

For networking opportunities, the expo kicks off with the Opening Gala Reception on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Fallsview Casino, sponsored by a host of prominent companies including ELC, Freightliner, KEITH, Pnewko Bros., Recycling Product News and SkyHawk Telematics.

Furthermore, organizers have created an app that delivers the full show schedule, exhibitor list, floorplan and new announcements. As well, the app allows its user to share photos and status updates.
