The annual Snowposium is returning to its home base in Milton, Ontario, to help snow and ice management pros to plan for the winter ahead.
Produced by the Landscape Ontario Snow and Ice Management Sector Group, the one-day event will be the first major event held at the association’s newly-renovated home office, at 7856 Fifth Line South, on September 26.
Last year, the trade show and conference was relocated to Brampton to accommodate renovations.
“Seasons change fast. Snowposium is a great opportunity not only to learn, but also to network with other snow and ice management professionals,” said Terry Nicholson, chair of Landscape Ontario’s Snow and Ice Management Group.
“The LO Snow and Ice group has put together an agenda with something for everyone to help shift your thinking and kick start your planning for the winter ahead.”
The sold-out trade show is free to all attendees and will feature about 25 exhibitors of snow and ice equipment, technology and services.
Snowposium attendees also have the option to purchase a full-day conference pass that includes lunch and access to a full day of educational sessions, ranging from slip-and-fall insurance to alternatives to salt, to sustainable winter management, and more.

For the conference, topics this year include an update relating to insurance claims, an overview of the Smart About Salt (SAS) program, Sustainable Winter Management (SWIM), a discussion on salt shortages, and a seminar on liquid deicing as a sustainable replacement for traditional applications.
Conference registration also includes outdoor demonstrations.
A full conference pass includes in-class sessions, lunch and access to exhibits. Early bird registration is now open, and tickets cost $85 per Landscape Ontario, SIMA or SAS member or $115 per non-member if registered by Sept. 13. Prices go increase that date.
