LiuGong has served the Canadian heavy equipment market through its dealer network for more than a decade. Now, the company has established LiuGong Canada to strengthen those relationships.
The new dedicated organization, announced Aug. 31, will focus exclusively on the Canadian market and its customers.
Led by Jim Miao, General Manager of LiuGong Canada, the organization will focus on dealer development, parts and service support, product training and customer engagement throughout Canada’s provinces and territories.
“We are building a Canadian organization for Canadian customers,” Miao said.
“That means building a team here that understands this market, working closely with our dealers and bringing the resources of LiuGong directly to the people who depend on our equipment. Our customers know their business and our dealers know their communities. Our responsibility is to give them the products, parts, technical support and factory resources they need to succeed.”

More than 100 LiuGong dealers, customers, vendors and employees gathered in Laval, Québec, on Aug. 31 for the official launch of LiuGong’s Canadian subsidiary.
The launch ceremony was hosted by Dongchun Li, Vice President of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery, Andrew Ryan, President of LiuGong North America, and Miao.
“We don’t build the roads. We don’t build the bridges. We don’t mine the resources or harvest the forests,” Li said. “The people who do that are building Canada’s future. Our job is to give them equipment they can depend on and the support to keep working. Establishing LiuGong Canada is our commitment to being closer to those people and supporting them for many years to come.”
LiuGong Canada will support a growing portfolio of construction and material handling equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, motor graders, compact equipment, forklifts, AWPs and battery-electric machines.
The company will also bring LiuGong’s engineering, manufacturing and R&D resources to the Canadian market, strengthening local access to its technology, expertise and equipment.
To build domestic relationships, LiuGong says it plans to invest in dealers, improve access to parts and technical expertise, train service and operations personnel and consult with customers operating its equipment.
“We are building a business in Canada, not just selling equipment here,” said Andrew Ryan, President of LiuGong North America. “That means investing in our dealers, our parts and service capabilities, and the people who support our customers. Trust takes time. We are prepared to put in the work and earn it.”
