LiuGong is bringing its proven battery electric equipment lineup to North America.
The OEM’s initial North American battery-electric portfolio includes the 856HE wheel loader, 820TE loader, 924FE excavator and the LRSE4531E 45-ton reach stacker, as well as its range of battery-electric forklifts, warehouse equipment and material handling solutions.
The initial lineup marks the beginning of a broader North American rollout, with additional battery-electric products expected throughout 2027 as LiuGong continues expanding and validating its electric equipment portfolio for the region.
LiuGong spent more than 15 years proving its battery electric technology on working jobsites. Currently, more than 60,000 LiuGong battery-electric machines are operating globally, which were validated through millions of operating hours in real-world applications.
“Customers shouldn’t have to choose between proven performance and zero-emission technology,” said Andrew Ryan, President of LiuGong North America.
“Our battery-electric platform has already proven itself through millions of commercial operating hours around the world. Now we’re bringing that experience to North America with machines engineered specifically for this market and backed by years of commercial operation.”
Engineered for North America

Successfully deploying battery-electric equipment in Canada and the United States required more than changing charging connectors.
LiuGong engineers adapted the platform to North American charging standards, electrical infrastructure, software requirements, safety certifications, environmental conditions and dealer service practices to ensure compatibility with regional operating environments.
Designed around TCO
According to LiuGong, its battery-electric machines reduce operating costs by about 40 to 50 per cent compared with similar diesel equipment.
Lower energy consumption, fewer service requirements and simplified maintenance help reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) throughout the machine’s operating life.
Continuous operational data from real-world applications has driven improvements in battery performance, charging systems, thermal management, diagnostics, software, serviceability and long-term durability across multiple generations of LiuGong battery-electric equipment.
Intelligent battery

At the core of every LiuGong battery-electric machine is a liquid-cooled battery management system (BMS) built around an advanced cell-to-pack battery architecture.
The BMS continuously monitors battery health, state of charge, charging, thermal performance, diagnostics and safety systems to optimize battery performance and maximize service life.
