The new G73 grader blade from SharpGrade fills a long-standing gap for contractors that need to reach an accurate grade on small, challenging job sites, while having the capacity to grade open areas quickly.
The grader blade is engineered specifically for 30-hp to 50-hp compact loaders and articulated wheel loaders.
Fully articulated with the wings closed, the G73 measures just 1.15 metres, making it the most compact grader on the market according to SharpGrade, yet opens to 1.85 metres when open, thanks to its large hydraulic side wings.
“The G73 is designed to bring pro-level grading precision to jobs where space and machine size is restricted,” said Rodney Sharp, Director of SharpGrade.
“It’s an ideal solution for contractors, landscapers and hire fleets who need to get in, get out and get the job done right the first time.”
Built to the same standards as SharpGrade’s full-size models, the G73 delivers impressive grade accuracy, rapid setup and removal, zero cross-coupling and the ability to grade in reverse, all in a compact, lightweight frame ideal for urban infill, landscape grading, paving, and residential construction.
“The ability to simultaneously articulate the blade and hydraulic side wings forward and reverse makes it ideal for grading around service pipes, confined areas, but also narrow linear work such as sidewalks, cycle ways, curbs and gutters, significantly reducing manual raking. Being able to grade in reverse removes track marks, improves accuracy and increases productivity,” Sharp said.
Multiple hitch options are available to suit common models in the compact range. Rotation sensor, IMU mounts and external data ports are available to plug and play most 3D solutions, including GPS and LPS.
QuadGrade machine control

QuadGrade Power Pro is a simple, reliable 2D control system for SharpGrade products. It has all functions integrated into the touchscreen without requiring wiring on the base machine, an industry first. Swapping between base machines is simple, thanks to a true interchangeable, plug and play solution, ideal for rental companies and large fleet operators with multiple machines.
With a built in, tamperproof hour meter, real time diagnostics, remote technician access, linked override and all functions on one screen, it is an intuitive, operator friendly system.
The SharpGrade G73 includes sealed, shielded and lifetime lubricated bearings that never require greasing.
As well, SharpGrade’s patented QuadRod 3 linkage design keeps the blade parallel throughout movement to maintain equal height between front and rear blade.

The Zero Cross Coupling design gives the operator the ability to operate one side of the blade without influencing the position of the other.
The retracting front wheel offers an open six-way blade with side wings to blade through piles.
With its low operating weight and powerful performance, the G73 is particularly well-suited for equipment rental companies, who can now offer a grading solution with 2D or 3D machine control options, that’s operator-friendly, rental friendly, transportable and built to withstand jobsite abuse.
