At Hillhead 2022, McCloskey International will officially unveil the latest entry into its cone crusher line, the C2C.

With this new model, the company brings the power of a 200 hp cone to a compact footprint, offering high maneuverability and a lineup of features aimed at boosting productivity.

Standard features include a full-size MC200 cone, premium quality components, a powerful engine, efficient conveyor design and continuous load and material monitoring.

The C2C delivers high production, from material feed to end product stockpile, due to its material flow features. A low feed height, and large 6.2 m3 (8.1 yd3)-capacity Hardox-lined hopper, allows for stop function while the unrestricted feed opening improves intake capability and reduces the risk of blockage.

As the material enters the cone chamber of the C2C, a long stroke and high speeds contribute to high productivity, while ensuring a high quality end product.

Also, multi-layer crushing leads to a high capacity, better reduction and shape as well as reduced liner wear.

As the material moves to the heavy duty 48” wide conveyor, the large gap between the crusher discharge and main conveyor feeder enhance the flow of material. Stockpiles are formed up to 3.3 m (10 ft 10 in) and, with ground level access, the belt is easy to maintain and service.

Power is built into the C2C, with a robust 280 kW (375 hp) engine on board, a high fuel capacity and hydraulic tanks to reduce the frequency of refuelling intervals.

Furthermore, mobility on-site and between sites is facilitated with remote control tracks that move and position the crusher, maximizing the efficiency of any project site. Also, according to McCloskey, the C2C can be setup and ready to work in less than five minutes.

The C2C crusher is particularly suited for aggregates and construction and demolition recycling.

Telematics

According to McCloskey, technology has been a key factor in the development of the C2C, with a 12” DSE control panel for optimal operational performance and reliability in providing push-button control of the cone, track and feeder functions.

Additionally, the crusher is fitted with a telematics modem for McCloskey’s new 365SiteConnex program in most markets, offering a complete connectivity solution for highly accurate monitoring of McCloskey products.

Another key factor that McCloskey took into consideration while developing of the C2C was safety. The machine is equipped with a number of features to ensure the workplace and the operator are secure. Engine safety shutdown systems, start-up alarms, full safety guarding, external maintenance access and a tagout capability on the isolator contribute to the safe operation and maintenance of the equipment. Moreover, ground-level access promotes safety and allows for quick service and maintenance, reducing the downtime for the operation.

“The C2C is another example of McCloskey designing and delivering on what our customers are asking for,” said Toni Laaksonen, Senior Vice President, McCloskey International. “We listened to producers who needed the power of a full size cone, but also the ability to move their equipment easily on and around their sites. There has been no compromise in power or productivity with the C2C, and it is a perfect example of leveraging the best features from our existing cone crushers, and adding mobility based on how our customers use the equipment every day.”
