Alongside new operating stations, the 730, 730 EJ (Ejector) and 735 are enhanced with new controls, transmission-protection features, new hoist-assist system, advanced traction control system, new stability-assist system, and a fuel saving eco mode.

In October, representatives from Caterpillar, Finning Canada and Teck Resources gathered in East Peoria, Illinois to celebrate the 40,000th large dozer rolling off the production line.

Caterpillar’s new D6 XE
Caterpillar’s new D6 XE is the world’s first dozer equipped with a high drive electric drive powertrain.
The new D6 XE, along with the D6, which is equipped with a fully automatic 4-speed powershift transmission, replace the company’s D6T. Both dozers were unveiled at Cat’s annual year-end press briefing in Peoria, Illinois.
The D6 and D6 XE are the result of a “voice of customer” panel, which included about 600 people from around the world and from various industries.
