Rock Crusher Concrete & Asphalt Recycling (RCCAR), based out of Regina, Saskatchewan, has taken possession of a Keestrack Destroyer R3/1011 closed circuit impact crusher and a Keestrack S3 tracked stacking conveyor for cleaning up waste concrete and turning it into reusable aggregates. The company purchased the equipment in April from Frontline Equipment when RCCAR was founded.
The company is a spin-off from the company Southern Coring and Concrete Cutting Services (SCCS). That company has been servicing the Regina area for more than 40 years. RCCAR is designed to turn waste aggregate into reusable product. Specifically, the company produces base material for under concrete and asphalt; aggregate for new concrete, gravel roads, and parking lot maintenance; and back-fill or riprap material for sub-base.
“We can reduce your project costs by turning a waste material you have on site into a reusable product,” says Craig Fiessel, co-owner, RCCAR. “Our clients save in loading, transportation, and disposal fees of the waste product. There will also be savings as the recycled product we produce is less cost than new material plus there is not a transportation cost.”
Keestrack machines feature advanced technology for fuel economy and productivity. The diesel engine with low emission norms combined with the fuel saving load sense hydraulic system ensures minimum impact on the environment and reduces fuel consumption. The vibrating feeder with integrated pre-screening area minimizes wear and improves final product shape and capacity.
“Using the latest in technology, the equipment we use is designed for ease of deployment and maximum production,” says Fiessel.
The optional remote control on the Destroyer makes it possible to operate the impact crusher from the excavator. The Relytec control panel simplifies operation and maintenance. The Destroyer R3/1011 may be fully equipped with numerous options in order to suit numerous applications.
The Destroyer R3/1011 features a vibrating feeder with long grizzly pre-screen, simple controls, an infeed opening of 770 by 960 mm (30 by 37.8 inches), and a capacity of up to 250 metric tons per hour. Compact in size, the machine doesn’t need any road permits for transportation.
“We use equipment that is a compact size,” explains Fiessel. “Our business is designed to accommodate smaller quantities—ideal for rural and municipal applications, and these Keestrack models are portable. We stay within road regulations and require little space for set up and operation.”
The Keestrack S3 tracked stacking conveyor also has a small footprint with transport dimensions of 12 metres (39 feet) in length by 2.3 metres (7.5 feet) in width and a transport weight of 13 tons. The stacker is designed for stockpiling or loading feed size up to 200 mm (8 inches), can be set to three different inclinations, and has a capacity of 500 metric tons per hour.
“No matter what your needs are, Rock Crusher Concrete and Asphalt Recycling Inc. is committed to making your project a success while striving for a cleaner future,” says Fiessel.” Whether your project is big or small, we’ve got all your needs covered: from concrete demolition, removal and disposal to on site crushing or just providing a place for you to take your concrete and asphalt waste.”
