Wacker Neuson is introducing the new ST27, the smallest compact track loader in the company’s CTL lineup.
Weighing in at 3,334 kg and equipped with a 74 hp Kohler KDI 2504 turbocharged engine, Wacker Neuson designed the ST27 to be a “pound-for-pound fighter” in the compact medium frame size class.
The compact design, measuring 1.5 metres wide and less than 2 metres in height, makes it the perfect fit for working in tight spaces with low overhead clearance.
As well, the CTL is easily towable and features a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 857 kg at 35 per cent tipping load.
The design maximizes the ROC while offering a 93 cm dump height. The extra reach at max height means it is easier to dump material into the centre of a dump box, while maintaining more distance from the vehicle or trailer being loaded. The vertical lift, ST27 offers a hinge pin height of 3 metres and dump height of 2.4 metres.
Auto shift
Wacker Neuson’s ST27 features a two-speed standard travel drive that provides a 15 km per hour travel speed for fast cycle times. Also, a standard auto-shifting two-speed drive system that automatically senses the operators need to shift can be activated or disabled based on the application. The auto feature engages in and out of the two speeds based on joystick input and eliminates the need for the operator to make manual shifts.
To improve visibility, the vertical loader arm linkage is designed to improve sightlines to the rear. The shape of the rear linkage aligns with the cab posts in the operator’s line of site to minimize visual obstructions, creating a better view to the rear. Additionally, the dedicated track frame design allows for a lower profile loader arm orientation, vastly improving side visibility.

Inside the cab, the selectable EH joystick controls allow the operator to toggle between ISO and H-Pattern via a switch, and the large 15-cm display makes it easy to adjust the joystick sensitivity and machine response settings for a fully customizable operating experience.
From switch location and layout, to an angled footrest in the floor board, and the ergonomically located handles, joysticks and armrests, the cab is specifically designed to reduce operator fatigue. Even entering and exiting the machine is easier with a wide door and step and well-placed grab handles.
For service accessibility, the ST27’s cab fully tips forward with the loader arms down, providing access to all maintenance components. The machine is designed to be user-friendly with an efficient layout that reduces the time required for daily service checks.
All of Wacker Neuson’s skid steer, compact track and utility track loaders were designed for the North American market and are manufactured at Wacker Neuson’s Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility.
